According to the California Vehicle code (CVC 400 (a) and CVC 405), an M1 Motorcycle License is required to operate ANY two-wheeled vehicle that doesn’t have pedals—either a motor-driven cycle (149cc and below) or a Motorcycle (150cc and above) . An M2 License is for mopeds---which are motorized vehicles with pedals. Our fleet of scooters are M1 compliant.
